Scott R. Ward , , , Chairman, President & CEO

Mr. Ward has been a member of our Board of Directors since 2013 and has served as Chairman of our Board of Directors since November 2014. Mr. Ward served as our Interim President and Chief Executive Officer commencing in November 2015, and in August 2016, Mr. Ward was appointed as our regular full-time President and Chief Executive Officer. Since 2013, Mr. Ward has been one of the Managing Directors at SightLine Partners. Following his appointment as our President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ward will continue to be a Managing Director of Sightline Opportunity Management Fund II, LLC and may provide limited advisory and consulting services to Sightline Partners in this capacity. From 1981 to 2010, Mr. Ward was employed by Medtronic, Inc. and held a number of senior leadership positions. Mr. Ward was Senior Vice President and President of Medtronic’s CardioVascular business from May 2007 to November 2010. Prior to that he was Senior Vice President and President of Medtronic’s Vascular business from May 2004 to May 2007, Senior Vice President and President of Medtronic’s Neurological and Diabetes Business, from February 2002 to May 2004, and was President of Medtronic’s Neurological business from January 2000 to January 2002. He was Vice President and General Manager of Medtronic’s Drug Delivery Business from 1995 to 2000. Prior to that, Mr. Ward led Medtronic’s Neurological Ventures in the successful development of new therapies. Mr. Ward serves on the boards of several private companies. Until April 4, 2016, Mr. Ward was the Chairman of the Board of Creganna Medical. Mr. Ward served as a member of the Board of Surmodics, Inc. from September 2010 to March 2015.

Laurence L. Betterley , , , Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Betterley joined us in April 2008 as our Chief Financial Officer. Previously, Mr. Betterley was Chief Financial Officer at Cima NanoTech, Inc. from May 2007 to April 2008, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of PLATO Learning, Inc. from June 2004 to January 2007, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Diametrics Medical, Inc. from 1996 to 2003, and Chief Financial Officer of Cray Research Inc. from 1994 to 1996.

Laura J. Gillund , , , Chief Talent Officer

Ms. Gillund, Chief Talent Officer, joined CSI in September 2013. From August 2002 to May 2012, Laura was Vice President of Human Resources for C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. From 1995 to 2002, Ms. Gillund was employed at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, most recently as Senior Vice President Human Resources. Ms. Gillund serves as a member of the board of directors for Allina Health System.

Kevin J. Kenny , , , Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Kenny joined CSI as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in May 2011. Kevin brings more than 20 years of leadership experience to the company. Prior to CSI, he held several positions at Medtronic, which included Vice President of Sales-U.S. Spine and Biologics. He joined the Spine and Biologics division in 2002 and held regional and national sales positions with increasing responsibilities. Earlier, Kevin served as Vice President of U.S. sales for Bausch and Lomb, and in various sales and marketing leadership roles with B.Braun/McGaw and Smithkline Beecham.

Alexander Rosenstein , , , General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

Mr. Rosenstein joined CSI in September 2014 as Corporate Legal and Compliance Counsel, became Corporate Secretary in November 2014, and was promoted to General Counsel in March 2015. From October 2005 to September 2014, Mr. Rosenstein was an attorney at Fredrikson & Byron, P.A. in Minneapolis. From 1998 to September 2005, he was an attorney practicing in New York City.

Sandra M. Sedo , , , Corporate Compliance Officer

Ms. Sedo joined CSI in June 2016 as Corporate Compliance Officer. She has responsibilities for managing the company’s ethics and compliance program, including implementation of a Corporate Integrity Agreement, and managing the medical education and physician relations functions. Prior to joining CSI, Ms. Sedo consulted for several small- to mid-size medical device companies in the legal and compliance areas. From 2005 to 2015 she was employed by Medtronic in various legal and compliance roles, and prior to that was an associate and then partner at Dorsey & Whitney LLP.

David S. Whitescarver , , , Vice President of Corporate Development and Intellectual Property

Mr. Whitescarver joined CSI as Vice President of Corporate Development and Intellectual Property in June 2017. Mr. Whitescarver brings more than 15 years of global leadership experience in the biomedical sector to the company, including senior leadership positions at Medtronic. Prior to this experience, Mr. Whitescarver led global teams at a Fortune 500 technology company and practiced law with a leading Wall Street firm.
